Life is not an end.
The struggle to survive it
always ends the same.
just something I wrote in reaction to an article about hospice care.

One sentence provoked this piece:
"There comes a time when nothing more can be gained by surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation, and the patient is considered terminal."

And I just thought... "aren't all humans essentially terminal? I mean, nothing can really save us. Those things can only tack on minutes or days or years... there is no saving us.
